Within Dhaka, OptiMax Communication Ltd has a fiber optic backbone spanning the city, focusing prime locations Gulshan-1 & 2, Baridhara, Banani & adjacent areas enabling the company to provide broadband connection and WAN connectivity to clients based anywhere within this area and its suburbs. Our infrastructure includes HFC backbone links between our POP's, Client premise Equipment (Cable Modem). We have established redundant links between our POP's to ensure 99.8 % network uptime, barring any natural calamities.

OptiMax is committed to expand its nationwide network within the end of the year 2005. Along this path, more new nodes will be developed in order to pick up more demand and provide a wider range of services. Of equal importance is that OptiMax Communication Ltd would like to deliver QoS (Quality of Service) to customers.

Future Plan

OptiMax has a plan to cover entire Dhaka city with 8 base stations. OptiMax Communication Ltd. has established, 4 POP's at Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara & adjacent areas. Each backbone link, between the head offce based in Banani and one of the other locations has a bandwidth of 3 Mbps. This enables OptiMax Communication Ltd to provide high-speed data access to clients according to their requirements. Redundant links are also in operation between out main base stations, thus ensuring that a mesh architecture is in place to provide an alternative route to our head office in case of any network failure.
